Cell Processor

There has been quite a splash surrounding IBM’s new Cell processor, which they jointly developed with Sony and Toshiba. It’s based on the PowerPC, so I’m wondering whether Apple is going to be one of the channels for this chip going forward. So far I haven’t heard any mention of that prospect, but it would seem like a natural match given the performance characteristics of the chip.
