Synopsis: The party discovers that Gheist has been kidnapped by the elves and decides to rescue him. Feiruhn decides to help and between him and Jake they manage to slip into the elven enclave in the city and spirit him out. He is then loaded onto a cart with his daughter to be smuggled out of the city.
The party then high tails it to the portal and through in order to get away from angry elves who may be looking for the people who broke Gheist free.
The Hebridonian guards on the Hebridonian side of the portal had isolated the portal so that anyone stepping through it would have a nasty fall into a deep moat if the defensive bridge had been withdrawn. A large moat had been built surrounding the portal to prevent rapid incursions from the other side of the portal.
The Hebridonian guards on the 'far' side of the portal have built an armed encampment around the gateway, with a wooden palisade, moat and drawbidge.
