A Stranger in the Dark
Session Date: October 14th, 2006
Diana 3, 1022 (morning)
With the fugitive subdued, the party trusses Thelera on a ladder and starts to haul her back to Ais Tyris. They rescue a Scaryn man along the way from a giant bat, and after a few nervous moments, they travel together toward the city.
The stranger asks many questions about the party, and is keen on discussing philosophy and trying to understand why they are so brutal to the captive Scaryn female. Though Thelera is bound, for most of the journey she is not gagged, but chooses not to speak. Though she seems to have some luck in loosening the ropes, the vigilant party always catches her, and for most of the travel back she is rendered unconscious by Tegred's sap.
As they approach the city's outer marches, a sinister looking dog beast with glowing red eyes appears on the path ahead of the party and belches a cone of fire on them!
