Campaign6/session6

Trailer: Ok, based on the ending of last night's session, I think there is a high probability that everyone is going to be running off to do little activities of their own for a few hours. Krackeheadz is in the underground again, presumably tracking and whacking on that rogue golem. Ban is 'taking care of business'. Teg is ???. I recall Jacob had something he wanted to check out, and so that leaves us going in many different directions.
Synopsis:
To ease the pain of many individual sessions at the beginning of the next game (which will either be Saturday, April 3rd or Saturday, April 24th), I propose handling some of these errands by e-mail. For those who can't do this, we'll just catch up at the beginning of the next session. But for those who can.... send me what your character would be doing now. It's mid-afternoon. The immediate golem threat is over. There are chunks of golem strewn across someone's lawn, though presumably someone will be along to clean that up for one reason or another.
Recap: (Taken From Doug's recap of that time) This is a bit glossed over. If you want all the good details ask the particular people involved. This should be enough to get you the flavor of the evening.
After the drama with the golems and the return of apparent safety when the golem returned to the river each of the party members decided to spend the afternoon tidying up their own personal business (KrackenHeads being unaccounted for in the tunnels below). So between about 3pm and roughly 7pm each character was out and about and then turned up for dinner (or after dinner) at the manor house. During and after dinner the characters decided to share some information about what they had learned. My memory on this part is a bit hazy. I do remember that Alyssa was discussed and her magic amulet. Alyssa appears to be bad: her name was on trade goods associated with damarians. The amulet she gave Triella had a homing beacon on it. The potential drop was discussed. What should we do about it? Max was discussed a little bit. Bandanna had to slap Jake again for trying to play with the glowy ball for about 3 hours straight and no supervision. At this point Krakenheads turns up looking like he had walked the length of a swamp. He reported that he had encountered a geomancer, tried to kill the geomancer and had to escape when the geomancer sealed the tunnel and it started to flood the tunnel. Krackenheads made his way out of the tunnels on the other side of the river in a swamp. The geomancer had one of those glowy balls like we had recovered from the tunnels.
Krackenheads then asked about the message drop, discovered the party actually hadn't done anything about it and kicked the party into action. Bandanna stopped down at the warehouse and picked up some things. A couple of troopers showed up at the door with Ravensfeather's mark and warrant and asked up for orders. The troopers were sent out to watch the drop point and any one who may be making a pick up there.
The party left a fake message at the drop point and waited and waited and waited and waited. Finally the party got impataient and checked the message. Gone, of course. So Jake cast a tracking spell and followed the written note to a public bath house and to a particular bathing chamber. Triella flushed our game out (a human female) and Bandanna impersonated a town guardsman. After a slight altercation involving a large man and Bandanna's boot we left with the human female as our captive.
While escorting her back for questioning we were ambushed by poison arrows and the captive was shot and poisoned. Triella cured her while Tegred and Cracken heads chased a one of the assailants.
Tegred chased the assailant over rooftops (Krackenheads is not a good leaper) and finally wounded him. The assailant then took a header off the roof and didn't live long after that.
The rest of the party quickly relocated to the ritz-carlton hotel, got a room and proceeded to wake and interrogate the female prisoner. We learned that she was from the HLA (Heberdonian Liberation Army) which out to over throw the shackles of the elven oppressors and set the humans free (okay with an eentsy-wheentsy bit of help from the damarian military advisors). At this point Hope the inquisitor was sent for.
Fareavean was not feeling well and had to step out. Jake was sent to make sure he was okay. Hope showed up at the room and started her interrogation of the human prisoner.
<spoiler alert>
Faravian felt ill and was helped into the restroom by Jake. Faravian then falls upon Jake and proceeds to batter him into unconsciousness. Faravian then relieves Jake of several pieces of property and leaves him for the cleaning crew to take care of.
<end spoiler>
Meanwhile back at the interrogation: Hope is enjoying her interrogation and getting some information.
Unfortunately before she can get to far the back of the head/neck of the prisoner is blown out. Literally. This leaves a slimy goo on the bed and a dead prisoner. The party then hears someone running down the corridor. Bandanna and Triella run in pursuit. As they pursue the person they realize that it appears to be Faravian. Faravian being taller and stronger pulls away from them and loses them within several tight alleys.
Bandanna and Triella return to the Ritz-Carlton and find a bruised Jake who has reawoken. It is then immediately determined that he is no longer in possession of either orb. Evidently Faravien took them.
The fate of Faravien and that of the orbs is unknown. Faravien's exact involvement with the head squishing bit has not been explained. You'll have to catch up to him for that explanation. The party is in a hotel room with a particularly dead corpse. We have not seen those troopers that ravensfeather sent us again.
For reasons beyond Doug's control Faravien (but otherwise obvious to everyone I hope) is going to have to be retired and a new character will have to be written up.
This fill-in on party activity has been brought to you by Doug. His memory may be in error. Tom may have prettied things up a bit. And yes when I do a core dump it is in present tense.
NOW FOLKS: This is the reason you don't leave your character to be a meat puppet for the dungeon master!
Other notes of Fareavean/Yosen: He had started having visions of the original Fareavean, speaking to him, telling him he was a body thief and other problems like that. It was started to unnerve Yosen. It was part of his reasoning for ditching Fareavean's body and getting back to his own.
