Nightfall

Trailer: ooOOoo - Ominous title for the next session, given that I've titled this story arc "Against the Fall of Night". But who knows if it has a double (or even TRIPLE) meaning. The priestess is free, the horns of the wall are sounding, and chaos has found fertile ground as evening slouches toward twilight.....

This night... the future hangs in the balance. This night... heroes will be made... or broken!

Synopsis:
Party enlists the aid of one of the local inquisitors from the mage corps. The party is outfitted with obsidian tipped weapons, which are believed to inflict better damage to the Demarians.

Party sneaks down through the dwarf pub into the underground tunnels and works its way to the temple. Party gets down in time to watch the dog and pony show. Triella experiments with the ysyryl a bit a drains a couple of souls out of zombies. Nymvayas sacrifices Anna's aunt and opens the portal. All the Demarians are knocked flat on their butts and unconcious. The portal is open, but to the wrong place; and its exact destination point is not known. What is seen on the other side is an open field surrounded by a forest with mountains in the distance. At that moment the land looks undistrubed by any 'civilized' races that build houses, farms, roads etc.

Nymvayas attempts to escape through the portal with Anna hot on her heals. Anna plugs her a couple of times with obsidian arrows and kills her on the far side of the portal. Most of the remaining demarians are killed. Several are captured including Yosen and Molokai.
