Fareavean was an elf commando (of the Phedrani) attached in Kalen. His life came to an abrupt when he was killed and had his soul ripped out by a Demarain strike team. His body is then used as the vessel of a Dargai infiltrator who takes his name.
Fareavean then wandered the city with the party, attempting to impede the party's mission while his master attempted to arrange for the rescue of Nymvayas and open the portal under the city to allow S'renara Rannoch and her zombie horde to come through.
Eventually he broke contact from the party and resumed life in his own body.
