Party preps for party. They pursue several different activities before the party including cleaning up, administrative tasks and retrieving the watching stone the party had previously hidden in the food court.
The attendees arrive and as they arrive the party get's a quick impression of each couple:
| Party Goers |
Party Impression |
|---|---|
| Cara Moonlodge w/Hast Thornhand |
The party's impression is that Hast Thornhand wants to get into Cara's pants, while she isn't interested. |
| Stalen Eye w/Bella Wind |
The party's impression is that Stalen is controlled and reserved while Bella Wind has a sharp eye and attention to detail. |
| Bob Toast w/Sharina BranchInHand. |
The party's impression is that Bob Toast has shown up for some cheap booze and a good time. His escort has all the look of some vapid twit. |
| Orea Riis w/Elanor GreyMist. |
The party's impression is that Orea is energetic and helpful (a little like an energetic yappy dog), while his escort wishes he would drop dead so she could go home. |
| Roth Bruenyl w/Willow Suntouched. |
The party's impression is that Roth is a little rough around the edges while Willow is a bit starstruck by the amount of royalty and money being displayed at the party. |
| Sol Gold Maple w/Carim Starseeker. |
The party's impression is that Carim is very much into Sol while she is a bit distracted. |
As the party proceeds the party is involved with discussions with several of the attendees. Because of the size of the party only some of the overheard snippets from the party can be reported:
Lucius talks to Stalen Eye about hunting Necromancers and the moral issues of vengence. Afterwards, Bella Wind passes Lucius a note to the effect that "Willow Suntouched is way out of her league with Roth Bruenyl."
Cara Moonlodge and Varien have a discussion about the wonders of the lands outside of the castle. Varien encourages her broaden her horizons and possibly travel outside of the castle.
Roth Bruenyl has a conversation with Safiria that slowly draws in Lucius. The conversation drifts into a light "I've hunted something more dangerous than you have" discussion where Roth mentions seeing a small, quick creature that has so far managed to keep its distance from himself and his hunters. Lucius and Safiria, recognizing the description matches a quickling, mention an interest in the creature and an interest in hunting for this beast. Roth agrees to the idea and suggests that someone come around "to the house" to make arrangements. As he takes Willow's hand he makes a passing reference to how lucky she is to be here at all if he hadn't been there to rescue her from the out of control wagon.
Orea Riis gets into a conversation with Safiria. He is enthusiastic about trying to give the party any type of help they may need. Safiria and Elrohir take this with a bit of salt.
Bob Toast and Crash stop to listen to music and get into a discussion about art. Bob has the tendency to speak in nonsequitors and jump from subject to subject with little warning. In the middle of the conversation Bob interrupts Crash, shrewdly asking why the party has a dwarven warmachine with them. Crash tries to play the fact down and Bob lets the subject slide a bit. Nearing the end of their conversation, Bob offers the odd piece of advice: "Why give a solution, when all of the answers lead to traps?" With that, Bob takes his companion in tow and heads off into the party.
Lucius, Safiria, Elrohir gather for a quick huddle and decide to get more information on Roth's companion, Willow.
Sol Gold Maple leads Alex on a tour of the various delicacies at the buffet table and make light conversation about archery and visiting the human realms.
Lucius distracts Roth with a discussion about bows, arrows, fletching types etc etc etc while Safiria moves in on Willow. Safiria catches Willow in a conversation and learns an interesting story of how Willow was almost run under by a wagon that was running wild, and how only by Roth's intervention, she was saved. Ever since then Willow has been at his side.
After party debriefs with Lord Maedros and discusses possible avenues of interest.

Safira visits Orea Riis. Orea appears to be very sympathetic to the party's plight and offers to supply Safiria with information. Orea supplies Safiria with information on a warehouse that Nimia has. Orea had heard his father refer to it. Orea also reveals that if his father is implicated in business with Nimia's warehouse, he could be disgraced and removed from his position as head of the House.
Lucius visits House Bruneyl. The Bruneyl estate is many acres of well kept lawns and pastures surrounding a "hunting lodge" that is somewhat smaller than a palace. After the party is let into the east wing, Roth sees the party in the lounge. Rpoth expresses interest in hunting for the strange beast again and they setsa hunting date two days hence.
Elrohir researches previously owned properties. He pursues the library/hall of records that is maintained by the House of the Seventh Turning. He gets some history on previous property owned by his father.
Elrohir and Crash visit the house of Toast. Bob Toast leads the party through a discussion of nonsequitors and apparent nonsense. What keeps them paying attention is the fact that Bob keeps dropping hints that the garbage he's spewing has the occasional nugget of truth in it. He also instructs Elrohir to bring him some Junior Mints.
The party turns in for the evening.
Items to consider for the future:
Nimia's Ware-house
Property previously owned by Elrohir's family
Hunting with Bruneyl
Previously: Plans and other foolishness
Continued in: Bait and Switch
