After the interviews the party sits and waits. After several hours Varien finds his restraints have loosened just enough for him to squirm free if he wanted to but if he didn't the guards wouldn't wouldn't notice the difference. Varien squirms free and finds the door latch has been blocked with a piece of paper to keep it from locking. Varien opens the door, props it open and takes a look out into the hall. The hall is empty except for other doors. The piece of paper has an address.
Varien tries to free Elrohir. Elrohir blows Varien off as a spy or imposter.
Varien frees the rest of the party
The party frees elrohir by bodily grabbing him and hauling him out, still tied to his chair.
Party escapes into the street. The party proceeds to the address that had been given to Varien.
The party lets themselves in and finds the advocate that had spoken to him earlier. The advocate tells the party a little bit more about Nimia's compatriots, Zurgint and Scarlin. The advocate explains that Nimia's chamberlin, Zurgint is actually a doppleganger and is almost impossible to catch. Scarlin is normally kept out of town because he is tough to control in polite circumstances.
The advocate gives proof that he is not Zurgint by drawing out a silver knife and stabbing his own hand with it. When the blade breaks his skin there is a gout of fire and the knife is burned away leaving the advocate in obvious pain. It is immediately evident that the advocate is not human.
The advocate gives the party their equipment and and restorative that allows them to pursue Nimia before word of their jail break reaches her. He also gives them instructions to navigate the sewers to find her house from the underside.
As they travel through the sewers they find a door that was not on the map and is impeding their apparent progress. They let themselves in and kill all the guards.
As they travel along they find another guard patrol and kill that one as well.
