Cashing Out

Without stopping to ask, Alex starts looting the bodies that the party had just killed. On one of the norker bodies he finds an amulet. As he looks the amulet over, it emits an intense flash and he vanishes. After casting about, the party decides that Alex had picked up an amulet of recall and activated it. It is surmised that Alex is now in the hands of their enemies. Since they can't find him, they decide to press on.
The party manages to catch wind of a norker patrol and lures it in to kill it. The party hacks their way through it.
The party continues through the maze of tunnels. Soon they are set upon by a horde of demon dretches.
The party then stumbles into an ambush and nearly get swarmed under by several norkers that release their trained lizards on the party.
After surviving the last attack, the party stops to consider their options. Should they continue or should they rest? The party decides to push on.
The party finds a ladder. The party squeezes up the ladder into an antechamber. The antechamber looks like a mud-room/boot room for people going into a sewer.
Reconnaissance and form a plan. Alex is hung out over the smoking fume and is being prodded with a hot poker. The party decides to rush the room and kill the leader/cleric type first and Nimia second.
Party bursts through the trap door into the house and promptly drops the "enemy cleric" first. The party stays focused and goes after Nimia first and grinds her down. A hand reaches out of the smokey fume and slowly drags her in even as she catches fire. The firey hand also drops off a wonderful partin gift in the form of a runespiral demon.
The party then methodically chops up the rest of her minions.
As the mop up is winding down, Silver Knights burst through the front door. Evidently a concerned citizen had raised the alarm because of the noise. The concerned citizen turns out to the be advocate who had put the party onto Nimia's trail. Varien and the advocate tacitly acknowledge each other without letting on to the knights.
Alex is freed from the fuming pit and his condition is evaluated.
The knights promote Elrohir to the position of Prince of Fall.
