Kill the Carrier

I mean to say, I know that the main scheme is to work the ball down the field somehow and deposit it over the line at the other end and that, in order to squalch this programme, each side is allowed to put in a certain amount of assault and battery and do things to its fellow man which, if done elsewhere, would result in 14 days without the option, coupled with some strong remarks from the Bench." - P. Dalin 17, 53
Crash and the dwarves decide that they want to deal with the smoke. They decide that the first course of action is to find Al. The dwarves deploy a dwarven retreval team to find and apprehend him.

Safiria, Lucius, Varien and the Shadar Kai also decide that they want Al. They quickly deploy several agents to track him down.

The dwarves surround the bar where Al did alot of business loot through it rudely and move on. The shadarkai agent that sorts through the wreckage twenty minutes later takes the barman into "protective custody".

The dwarves conduct several more kick-in-the-door style searches and lay their hands on one of Al's associates. The dwarves clear out before the local authorities track down the dwarves.

The shadar kai find out the dwarves have another of Al's associates and the two groups agree to a marvel team-up to find al. The shadar kai extract the information and the dwarves go out to find him.

Dwarves give al to the Sahadar kai. Al is a little worse for wear. Everyone hikes back to the assassin's base.

In the basement is a bigger cappucino machine of evil. The smaller one was the kiddie machine used for purity testing.
A new and improved al.

Shadar kai offer a deal help us get the smoke off the street and we'll provide work/favors/items in kind.
Crash wants to purge the smoke from the Shadowhold.
Safiria wants secrets, with an almost lustful glance at the cappucino machine of evil.
Lucius just wants to be paid in cold hard cash.
Al is just happy to be receiving the love of his "father"
Rhogar just wants to kill things.
Winyar wants information on firestones.
Varien makes a request to be put on retainer as a "house wizard" to be paid to manufacture magical goods for the Shadar Kai.

Party is given a "recall button" to aide their escape when they find the resovoir of smoke.

hunt for the smugglers.

Party debates on a course of action. Some want to attack now, some want to wait for a more secluded and private place.


The party observes the caravan in the town and decides to wait. A watch is kept on the gate house to ensure that the caravan does not slip out during the night.

Dalin 18, 53

There are some issues when the party initially goes to mount up in the morning. A large man name Mongo blocks the road while knocking his horse out.

The party attacks the caravan on the road. They ambush the caravan by dropping a pair of trees on the lead cart, killing one of the horses. At this point the carts start disgorging automated troops similar to the ones they foundn in the Shadowhold. One of the human teamsters manipulates something on his chest and fills himself with black smoke. One of the other teamsters also attempts to work a similar device but the party chops him down viciously. During the fight the lead cart is also lit on fire.

Party manages to take one teamster alive. There is a hurried discussion and the party decides to clear the road and move the wagons to a suitable clearing so they can rest overnight.

Safiria extracts epi-pen of evil.

The party pulls the carts off the road so as to appear that none of the carts are damaged.

The prisoner is not yet interrogated.
