Dwarven Architecture Appreciation 101

Party leaves Mormoon. Arrives at shanty town.

Leaves shanty town, arrvives at fortress.

Party enters dungeon
Party Looks for sink. In the course of looking for the sink they stumble on the tracks. The party changes course and decides to follow the tracks.
The party picks up on the fact they are being followed and decide to ambush the critters following them. The party ambushes and kills a ghastly and a ghoul but the noise wakes up the other creatures in the area.

The party hurries along and finds a shaft where the tracks they were following descended. As the party descends they realize that a pack of ghouls has surrounded the shaft and is massing to attack. The party scoots down the shaft, drops into a room, finds Al and prepares to receive the onslaught of ghouls. The wizard uses the gravity well to contain the ghouls and the party cleans up after that.

The party then decides to stop allowing and find the necromancer (undead -> necromancer). They have some vastly about and find a zombie guarding a hallway that makes a "stop" motion. The party cuts it down without remorse. Try find a box, paper and a quill on the zombie. The party continues down the corridor and finds a closed door (bound, heavy).

A slot in the door opens and a figure beyond asks the party their business. Presuming the necromancer is behind the door, the party makes the excuse that they have a lab book to return for a reward. The slot closes, a minute later the slot opens and the voice (undead) responds that "the master is not interested". Nonplussed the party metaphorically stamps it's feet and pouts that they aren't being let into the undead section of the fortress.

The party back tracks and tries to follow some of the tracks from before. They abruptly find evidence that the tracks had been ambushed by a demon, several members of their group eaten, and the rest of the group fleeing from the demon. The party decides to backtrack and find a safer section of the dungeon.

The party decides to follow a group of tracks that looks like dwarves. In the course of tracking the dwarves the party in set upon by several shades and their corrupted shade beasts. During the fight the shades withdraw leaving the rest of the shadow beasts to their fate.
