Eladrin wizard 45 years old. On his first journey into lands outside of the Feywild. Born adventure seeker. Spent much of his time sneaking, hiding, and exploring every nook and cranny around his school of wizardry. Arrived in Mormoon a few months ago, and answered "Help Wanted" ad posted by Sir Baylon, who seemed to be a reputable member of Human (or at least Mormoon) society. Languished in banality until adventure presented itself. Currently beginning to tire of all he meets trying, eventually, to kill him.
He was spirited out of the city of Hastalon by Eladrin agents after the investigation of a warehouse collapsed. His current where-a-bouts are unknown.
During his time in the provinces of Dalnor he assembled a $#!+ list:

5. The Drow (Come on, they just have to be on there... he is Eladrin, right...)
4. Rueben Wheelturner (he has served his purpose, and is a very ineffective leader.)
3. The Dwarves of Mormoon (their complacency and lack of motivation has helped the current conflict fester)
2. Thorlok and the Norn (They've been trying to kill Varien & the party actively for a while. It's getting old. Plus they hired Baylon... big point deduction for lack of intelligence)
1. The Raven & The Crown (These guys have been the catalyst for much of the party's recent troubles, and Varien doesn't like the path they're creating in this land. They've gone from White hat to Black Hat in a matter of weeks in Varien's eye.)
