A trade city just south of The Road, East of the elves, West of the Empire Of Dracnos and north of the remainder of the Provinces of Dalnor.
First link south of the division mountains.
Interesting population mix, mostly human with a good sized dwarf population.
Politics:
The city council maintains a cooperative but distant position with all other governments and powers. They have no interest in becoming entangled in conflicts which are seen as other peoples problems.
Mormoon has active trading with Norn, Arn, Elafta and traders that come down The Road.
The town maintains cordial with the elves, who have shown interest in having Mormoon change some of its policies to what is seen as pro-elf.
The town respects any dictates from Lord Thunderhead.
The town occasionally receives an emissary from the Castle of Smoke and Moon. The politics of the Castle are seen as far away and extremely foreign.
The town has little contact with any organized powers north of the Division Mountains.
The town ignores the remains of the Empire of Dracnos the Black.
The town ignores the Two Realms.
Local Laws of Note:
Weapon carry and use of magic is accepted practice because of the number of traders that come through the town.
City Quarters:
-
Begger's Quarter - The beggers quarter that is slowly being forced out as the beggers are slowly forced to move down on the lower side of the cliffs.
Guild Road - Houses most of the trades.
-
High Side Temple
Central Road - A market and trade road. Most of the carts moving between the upper and lower docks use the road.
Lower Docks (Warehousing) - Incoming and outgoing trade docks.
-
South Docks
The Tunnels - Dwarf "buildings" dug into the cliff separating the upper and lower sections of the town. Some of the dwarf forges share chimneys with the houses above. The houses above get some free heating as a result.
Low Side Temple
Upper Docks - Incoming and outgoing trade docks. Not used as much as the south dock.
-
North Docks
Guild House (Upper Crust)- The rich and leadership section of town. Holds several expensive inns, government houses and private residences.
-
Turning Wheel (Inn)
Guild Hall (Government House, trade building, hiring hall)
New Town (new rich on the east side of the river on the high side of the cliff, overlooking the cemetry). The newly rich have been moving across the river for new building spaces to build newer larger homes. They enjoy the overlook onto cemetry because of its peaceful nature.
Buildings of Note:
Cemetery and mortuary.
City council includes:Ruben Wheelturner, Dale Cooper, Morgrim Thundershock
