1402

Tief: Mediava finishes consolidating his control of the empire. Some people who question his methods discretely go missing.

1406

Tief: Mediava instutues a secret program within his inner circle to raid all of the northern battlefields, cemeteries, slaughterhouses for corpses. They are to be shipped to a staging area fifty miles south of the capital city. Arranged in ranks and buried in shallow graves.

1407

Tief: Mediava offers bonuses for every birth a family has. Each additional birth bringing a larger bonus to the family. Over the next couple of years, the upper ranks of the nobility compete to see who can 'earn the largest bonus'.

1410

Tief: Mediava restricts healing to the young and the firm (ostensibly because of the population boom). Anyone that is old or weak is allowed to die, the body seized by the authorities and the corpse shipped south to the staging area.
The Two Realms: The border conflict between the two realms calms a bit and infrequent trading begins.

1421

Tief: Mediava institutes mandatory service from one family member from each household larger than three. This is not seen as a large imposition because of the large family sizes.

1422

Tief: Mediava's army swells and serious training for the living army begins.

1423

Tief: All foreign merchants are expelled from the country and The Road is sealed from foreign merchant traffic.

1425

Dracnos: The dragons begin to get wind that all is not well north of the division mountains and begin discrete overflights of the country. They do not observe much beyond the large mass grave south of the capital.

1430

Tief: Mediava goes into seclusion, leaving the administration of the country to his bureaucracy.
Elafta: The elves start to take an interest in the politics of the Two Realms. Over the course of the following years, they poke, prod and cajole the two countries to cooperate with each other more and fight less.

1431

Tief: Mediava comes out of seclusion and announces that the time has arrived for the empire to reclaim its greatness. Those who wish to join are invited to travel to the capital, bring your families, friends and neighbors. Many people flock to the capital, leaving their homesteads to be run by younger siblings and relations. There they see their leader, and their families that have been in government service. At the height of the celebration, Mediava produces a globe several feet in diameter. He says that this globe contains the whole of the dreams of the Tief empire in it. With that he shatters the globe releasing the souls that had been trapped within in it.

The stories that came out of the resulting holocaust are fragmentary, but they agree on the following points:
A flash of light covered the entire city when the globe was broken. The entire population looked on in wonder and then started cheering.
The place where the globe had recently stood glowed the brightest and then was left with a mote of blackness. The darkness did not grow as much as it began to draw the released light back into itself. As the light was pulled back, it also pulled in the souls of every living creature within the city. When the process was complete the Lord Lich Mediava stood next to the globe. All around stood the city of the walking dead. These dead only felt cold and hunger and anger that they could no longer feel the light of the sun or the joy of taste.

Mediava ordered his wight army south and picked up his graveyard of zombies and skeletons along the way.

1432

Division Mountains: Mediava begins a direct assault against all of the dragon roosts in the division mountains south of Tief. His wights quickly overwhlem the first roosts and drain the dragons in to shriveled corpses.

Division Mountains: The dragons fight fire with fire. They begin a systematic purging of the countryside of anything that moves, man, beast or undead.

Division Mountains: The dwarven hold in the area seals itself in from all exterior entrys, above and below surface.

1434

Division Mountains:The war drags on as the undead begin underground seiges of the fortesses. Several ancient dragons take the field against the army and incinerate, electrify or bury legions of the undead.

1435

Tief: Mediava disapears in the final chaos of the war. The undead army disperses with no central direction. As the undead groups get smaller, the dragons loose interest in pursuing them.

1436

Division Mountains: The dragons take the year to reroute rivers coming out of the mountains onto the plains of Harsa (covering most of the Tief empire). The rivers are either routed far west directly into the ocean or east into a large central river.

1437

Tief: The Plains of Harsa begin to dry out because of the lack of rivers.

1442

Jahara: The Sol-Gate is reopened. Commerce between Solhara and Jahara begins. There is some cultural uneasiness because the gate had been sealed for 147 years.
The Two Realms: Under pressure from Elafta, the Two Realms begin exploring the possibility of unifying the two countries.

1447

The Two Realms: Peace talks collapse and the two realms descend in to bitter fighting. All elves are either purged or put to the sword.

1450

Tief: The remains of the second empire collapse and descend into city states. The central city is abandoned because of the detination that had occurred in 1431. The land around the city was rendered completely lifeless and barren. The location of the globe and Mediava are not known.

1460

Dalnor: The dragons, having brutally resestablished control of the central realms crack down on growing descent in the province.

1485

Division Mountains: Dalin, first lord of Dalnor formally breaks away from the remnants of the Empire of Dracnos the Black. Ongoing war between Dalnor and Dracnos for the next thirty years until the collapse of Dracnos.
