A subteranean burrowing creature. It is known for digging tunnels that leave other beings that wander the tunnels disoriented and confused. The longer a person wanders them the more disoriented they become. Eventually the person become hopelessly lost within the tunnels and become lunch for the Lyril.
The Lyril are known to inhabit the tunnels under the city of Kalen it is believed that the Lyril may have been released intentionally to dig the city's sewer system (but this is not confirmed). People wanting to wander the tunnels of the Lyril are warned to provide for themselves either a navigation stone that allows the party to know where they are going or a jar of Lyril repellent.
