The Demarian Empire was fully consolidated in 323 E.C. by S'renara Rannoch. Previously it had been a group of smaller warring Demarian states, each with their own leaders and agendas. Currently it is ruled by the She'ar-tyl Cult or by a group called the Elite Circle.
The Demarian Empire is situated to the west of Hebridonia, across the Ardgour Mountains. The nation is populated by a humanoid race called the Dargai, and its history is somewhat shaded from outsiders due to lack of trade and secrecy. The Dargai have made several attempts to expand into the lands now know as Hebridonia, but the Gap at Cromdale is the only means to pass a large force between the two countries, and is difficult to occupy and maintain supply lines during a military campaign. It was the persistent expansion of the Demarians which finally provided the impetus for the Kingdom of Hebridonia to form. Several counter offensives from Hebridonia have met with similar frustration, since the Ardgour dwarves do not like any outsiders with a military presence on their territory.
Coin in use is the Demar.
